The Idea
Most people assume more expensive means better. The specialty coffee industry — with its SCA scores, competition trophies, and limited micro-lots — is built on that assumption. The data doesn't support it.
What actually determines whether a coffee is worth it to you is a combination of variables specific to your palate: variety, process, altitude, origin. CoffeeSmarts runs regression analysis on your logged coffees to identify exactly which variables drive your best cups — and ranks every coffee in your collection by value: quality delivered per euro spent.
The result: you drink better, you waste less, and you stop overpaying for prestige that doesn't translate to your cup.
